Every applicant undergoes a rigorous recruitment and selection process before being offered social care work with Beaufort Support Service... This includes completion of a detailed application form that requires all applicants to provide the following information as an initial minimum requirement:
If successful, the applicant will then be required to complete a form that will enable us and the local authorities to carry out an Enhanced CRB Check, in order to comply with both industry and legal requirements for people wishing to work in a position of responsibility with children and young people. Once police-checked, all BSS staff undertake a minimum of a 2-day induction training course before being allowed to work. Only then will an applicant be considered for social care placement - either within our own organisation or within those of our clients.
