Our Social Care and Support Worker teams consist of highly-trained and experienced professionals who have undergone extensive training and are committed to providing the highest standards of care and understanding to the children and young people they are responsible for.

The Directors of Beaufort Support Service are Jenny Kendall and Neil Gray - who founded the highly successful Beaufort Projects Ltd. to provide specialist residential child care for children and young people aged 8 - 17 years old.
Both are committed to providing quality staff and to helping to enrich children and young people's lives, whatever their situation...

Having developed outstanding teams and individuals at their own children's homes, Jenny and Neil are fully aware of the skills mix required to work with children and young people who exhibit severe emotional and behavioural difficulties.

We only appoint those who have the skills, experience and qualifications to work within our own children's homes. This is the benchmark - as we then quality assure staff supplied to care organisations and schools by stringent recruitment procedures, staff induction and initial training - as well as on-going staff development through supervision, tailored training programs and reflective practice.

Neil Gray the Director of the Beaufort Support Service is committed to providing quality staff to social services departments, care organisations and schools. Neil has worked with children and young people who have complex needs and exhibit emotional and behavioural difficulties for the past 16 years. He has managed Local Authority and private children's homes for 10 years and currently manages the Beaufort Project's children's homes.  

Having developed outstanding companies, teams and individuals during this time - including achieving IIP status with 2 companies, Excellent CSCI and Ofsted   ratings and supporting all of his current staff team of 22 to achieve national recognised qualifications - he is fully aware of the skills mix, attributes, qualities and experience required to work with children and young people who exhibit complex needs and emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Having requested agency staff in the past as a manager of a number of organisations, Neil is aware that the quality of staff provided by agencies can often be 'hit and miss' - someone turns up at your organisation and they have never worked with children or they just turn up for their shift and contribute very little, are no more than another pair of hands or have no experience, etc.

Neil decided to set up the Beaufort Support Service to change this perception of agency staff and supply quality staff to organisations and, most importantly, to give quality care to children and young people in whatever setting it may be.
